Whether you want to ski, snowboard, play in the snow, or build a snowman, this is an easy, exciting way to experience winter — with a friendly guide, smooth logistics, and plenty of photo stops.

Tour Details

Pick up: 5:30 A.M from 616 Little Collins St, Melbourne (main pick up point).

If the tour offers additional meeting points, you’ll be able to select your preferred option during booking process (subject to availability).

Return time: Melbourne estimated time of arrival around 8:30 PM.

Duration: Full day planned tour (around 15 hours).

Departs: Every day of the season on selected dates.

Small groups: Max 8 guests for a more personal experience.

Comfortable vehicle: Roundtrip transportation in our comfortable vans.

Price:  Adult: A$150 / Children under 13: A$140.

Guided walkthrough orientation: Get a short guided walk through key resort areas (including main points of interest) plus helpful recommendations to maximise your day, including where to go, what to do, and how to plan your time if you'd like to ski or snowboard.

Snowboard starter tips: Your experienced guide can show you a few practical pointers if you’re trying skiing or snowboarding for the first time, so you feel more confident on the day (e.g., gear fit, stance, how to stand up, and basic board control).

Optional: If you’d like to add a formal lesson, the resort has certified instructors.

Small souvenir: A little keepsake to remember your day with us.

Morning break refreshments: Coffee/tea/aguapanela, a light snack, and fruit before the day’s adventures begin.

Meeting point pick-up

We’ll meet at 5:30 am at our main meeting point 622 Little Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000 for departure, we start early to reach the mountain ahead of the crowds.

If additional meeting points are available for your date/tour, the exact pick-up times will be calculated during the booking process.

First stop

Morning break

A quick restroom stop and morning break to enjoy coffee/tea/aguapanela, a light snack, and fruit—perfect to start the day with energy. From here, we head straight to the mountain with no additional stops.

9:30 AM (approx.)

Arrive at Mt Buller

Arrival time may vary depending on road and weather conditions, but we aim to get there ahead of the crowds. On arrival, we’ll hand out your snow kits (clothing and boards) so you can get changed quickly and start the adventure.

Optional guided resort walkthrough

Join a quick guided walk around key points of interest (including lift areas) and get practical recommendations for the day. If you prefer, you can take the tips and head straight to the sightseeing chairlift or the slopes.

Snowboard/ski confidence tips

For first‑timers, we’ll share hands‑on, beginner‑friendly pointers—helping you get set up comfortably and feel more confident before you hit the snow. Many guests who try snowboarding for the first time tell us this support makes a big difference to their day.

Free time

Enjoy the mountain at your own pace

Spend the day on the mountain however you like—build a snowman, go skiing or snowboarding, take the sightseeing chairlift, or simply walk around and explore the resort.

4:30 PM

Back to the city

We’ll depart Mt Buller at 4:30 PM and head back to Melbourne. It’s a scenic wind‑down after the mountains—perfect time to chat about the day, review photos, and enjoy the ride back.

8:30–9:00 PM (approx.)

Drop-off in Melbourne

We’ll arrive back in Melbourne in the evening and drop guests off at the meeting point (and any additional selected pick-up points, if applicable). Arrival time may vary depending on traffic and road conditions.

Visit our dedicated shop to try on everything before the tour, or reserve online ahead of time—so you arrive prepared and make the most of your time on the mountain.

Snow gear sorted — delivered on the day

We bring your snow kit (Snowboards/skis + clothing) directly from our warehouse and have it ready for you in the van on tour day. Everything is pre-organised per guest and packed in a convenient waterproof carry bag, so you don’t waste time in crowded rental shops, queues, or last‑minute fittings. It’s a smoother, faster start to your snow day—everything arrives ready to go.

We’ve been running Mt Buller snow adventures for 8+ years, refining the route, timing, and on-the-day flow so everything feels smooth and well organised. We currently run our Mt Buller trips in our comfortable 8‑seat vans, keeping groups smaller and the experience more personal. With fewer guests, the day feels more relaxed and flexible—easier communication, smoother logistics, and a closer, more tailored experience throughout the tour.

Registered tour operator & insured

We’re a registered tour operator and we carry appropriate insurance coverage for our tour operations and transport, so you can book with confidence and enjoy a smooth, well-organised day. (Resort activities are optional and undertaken at guests’ discretion.)

When does the snow season start? +

The snow season at Mount Buller usually starts around the second week of June and finishes in early September.

However, dates may vary slightly each year depending on weather conditions

June, July and August are normally considered the best months for enjoying good snow conditions.

Are there snow tours during weekdays? +

Yes, absolutely! We can travel any day of the week. However, tours operate once we reach a minimum group of 6 people. Based on experience, the most commonly confirmed tours are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday
If you would like to travel during the week, we can create a pre-booking for you and contact you once the group is confirmed.

Is the Lift Pass/ chairlift ride included? +
  • We include the resort entry fee for all passengers.
  • (optional) You may choose to add a chairlift / lift pass at your own expense. This is optional and depends on what you’d like to do on the day. The resort also offers free shuttle buses from the parking area to the village and key points.
  • Your tour guide can help you choose the best option if you’d like to add a lift pass.
  • For example, if you just want to walk around and explore, you can take the free shuttle to the village, or add the sightseeing chairlift.
  • Afternoon passes for snowboard/ski are also available and are usually more affordable.
  • If you’d like to purchase a lift pass, you can buy it directly at the resort on the day of the tour.

Is lunch included in the tour? +

We include during morning break: Coffee/tea/aguapanela, a light snack, and fruit to help you start the day with energy. However, Lunch is not included, as we highly recommend enjoying the food experience directly on the mountain 🍔🌭🥗🍕
